The Podocarpus National Park is a privileged place where one can observe more than 560 species of birds, or 6% of the species worldwide and 40% of the species of Ecuador. It is one of the world’s most popular birding sites for bird lovers.
In order to make the most of the colours and the pleasant weather, it is recommended that you make the visit between September and December. Aside from this period, the local microclimate is less warm, which makes visits and walks more difficult.
