The Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest can be divided into two zones: Secondary and Primary rainforest. The secondary Amazon rainforest -more accessible and more economical- offers a real “jungle” atmosphere. However, you will only see very few animals since human activity remains close.

This will allow you to observe many more animals such as monkeys, caimans, various birds (toucans, hoatzins, etc.), otters, turtles, snakes, etc. The price of a stay in the primary Amazon is also higher.
